Google is an awesome tool for searching the Internet. But it can also work as a spell checker. As an alternative to opening up Microsoft Word or going to Dictionary.com, you can often use Google as a spell checker. It is by no means a full featured spell checker, it will do perfectly in a pinch.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

Open a web browser and go to Google.com. Or better yet, use Google Desktop. Google Desktop can be downloaded directly from the Google site.

  2. Step 2

Type in a phrase or a single word that you want to find the correct spelling for.

  3. Step 3

When the search results appear you will see their suggestions of the correct spelling of the words or phrases that you typed in. This will be the correct spelling. Just copy the correct spelling and paste it into your document.

  4. Step 4

If there is no notation of suggested searches, the spelling that you used is correct.
