This article will teach you how to fakie bigspin on a skateboard. This is a very useful and fun trick to learn, and doesn't take much practice. This trick will be valuable for learning any flip trick that requires a spin of the body too.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Fakie ollies
  • Pop-shuvit
  • Fakie back half-cab
  • Fakie 360 pop-shuvit (not needed, but useful)
  • Fakie pop-shuvit
  • BigSpin (useful, but not needed)
  1. Step 1

Make sure you are comfortable riding fakie and know how to spin. The set-up is the same as a fakie pop-shuvit. You should also know how to scoop the board.

  2. Step 2

Turn your shoulders as you pop down on your tail in a scooping motion. Slide your front foot out to help get the full 360 spin on the pop-shuvit. Make sure to get the 180 spin with your body.

  3. Step 3

Once the board comes around, stomp straight down on the bolts with both feet at the same time. Bend your knees upon landing to reduce the impact and increase your chances of riding away clean.

Tips & Warnings
  • This trick can also be done by sliding the board on the ground instead of popping. This makes the trick a lot easier to learn, but makes the trick look less clean and can't be done down a gap or stairs. It's also won't make learning any other trick similar to it any easier to learn.
