This article will teach you how to do and perfect ollies on a skateboard.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Skateboard
  1. Step 1

Get a skateboard that you can easily ride and balance on. Learn if you are a regular rider,(skates with left foot forward) or a goofy rider (right foot forward.) You should set up with your back foot in the middle of the tail. Your front foot should be against the front bolts of your skateboard and in the middle.

  2. Step 2

Once you have the set up right, bend over and pop straight down on the tail with your back foot. At the same time, you should jump and slide your front foot slightly forward to get the board in the air.

  3. Step 3

While in the air, it is very important to keep your legs bent. this will prevent your board from falling away from you. When you are close to the ground, stomp down and bend your knees upon landing. Then ride away and do it again!

Tips & Warnings
  • Get a pro skateboard. These will pop a lot easier.
  • Pro skate shoes will grip onto the board a lot better than other forms of footwear. This will help prevent the board from falling away from you while your in the air.
  • Wearing opened-toed shoes while attempting this trick will scrape your feet.
