Things You'll Need:
- 2 Lipton family size iced tea bags (decaf okay)
- 1 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 quart size stainless steel sauce pan
- 1 gallon size tea pitcher (I prefer the Tupperware pitcher)
- long handled wooden spoon
-
Step 1
Fill your stainless steel quart pan about 3/4 of the way full with cold water. Place on stove top on medium high heat. Unwrap and add 2 Lipton Family Size Iced Tea Bags. Heat to boiling.
-
Step 2
Let boil for 1 minute then remove from heat. Let cool for 3 minutes. While tea is cooling, add 1 and 1/2 cups sugar to your tea pitcher. Put tea pitcher in sink.
-
Step 3
Using your long handled wooden spoon to hold tea bags in pan, carefully pour hot tea into your tea pitcher. Make sure that the tea bags remain in the pot. Immediately stir tea and sugar together so that the sugar dissolves into the tea. While continuing to stir, add water to the pitcher until full. Serve over ice and enjoy!
