Things You'll Need:
- Paper
- Pen
- Creativity
- Open Mind

Step 1
Clear up the facts. Ask yourself: What actually happened here? When getting the facts straight about an event, it is important to write down the facts of what happened. No finger pointing.
-
Step 2
Write down what things you added. In life we are not just dealing with facts, but also the meanings we add to it, and our story. Seperate what happened to what you added. Write down what you made up about what happened. For example: I lost my job, and the meaning I made up about it was that I'm not good enough!
-
Step 3
Create Solutions. This is where you get to be creative. Now that you have gotten all the facts straight and the meanings you made up. Ask yourself What options you can create for the future? Creating solutions allows you to be free and let go of blame and guilt.
