Things You'll Need:
- 2 boneless chicken breast
- 1/2 loaf of bread
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1 10oz bag of mixed vegetables
- 1 4 oz low fat sour cream
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pepper
- 1 T Lawsons perfect Blend
- 8 T butter
- Sauce pan
- 2 8x10 Pyrex dishes
- 1/2 c sugar
- 2 T cinnamon
- 1 can pie filling

Step 1
Preheat Oven 350 Degrees ( Best temperature)
Cube chicken
Heat 2 T butter in a sauce pan
Add chicken and brown -
Step 2
Coat Pyrex dish with a non stick spray
Add 3 slices of bread
Add mixed vegetables
Add cooked chicken
Add can chicken soup diluted with 1 can of water
Stir in sour cream
Place the last 3 pieces of bread on top and top with 2 T of butter -
Step 3
Place in preheat oven for 25 minutes
Remove from oven and enjoy!! DO NOT turn off the Oven
Apple Pie
Spread 1 T butter into bottom of Pyrex dish
Add 3 slices of bread
Mix cinnamon and sugar and sprinkle 1/4 of mixture on top of the bread
Add pie filling, top with 2 T butter and sprinkle with cinnamon mixture
Add the last 3 slices of bread to the top of pie filling
Add 2 T butter and sprinkle remaining cinnamon mixture to top of bread
Bake for 25 minutes
Remove from oven and enjoy with 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream

on 11/1/2009 Now that is a very interesting way to cook a chicken pot pie and an apple pie. Loaf of bread as crust. In all my years of cooking never have heard of this one, but sounds like it will surely work. Going to add this to favorites and check it out when I have time. Thanks for the novel idea.
