How to make a Garden Bird House

Decorating a wooden bird house for the garden. This idea has come from Great Gifts in under 30 minutes.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

• Wooden Bird house
• Acrylic paints: yellow, green & rust
• Sponge brush
• Dried Leaves
• Glue gun & Glue sticks
• Six Wood half-pots
• Tiny Dried Flowers
• Artificial Bird

1. Coat the front and base of the wooden bird hose with yellow acrylic paint. Brush a coat of green paint on the roof. Let paint dry.

2. Hot-glue dried leaves to roof in overlapping patter: start the first row toward the bottom of the roof and finish the last row with the tops of he leaves butting up against the peak of the roof.

3. Brush a coat of rust paint on the half-pots. Let Dry.

4. Glue the panted wooden pots to three sides of the base of the bird house at even intervals, leaving the bck bare.

5. Place a drop or two of hot glue into each pot to secure flowers. Fill each pot with a cluste oftiny dried flowers.

6. Attach a small artificial bird to the peak of the roof with hot glue. Glue additional birds to the roof and to the perch, if desired.

7. Once everything has dried set up your new bird house in your garden or your woods. Or maybe you know a bird-watcher that would enjoy it.

• Use the glue gun only as directed. Always careful not to burn yourself or others.
