In this article you will learn how to grow Christmas cactus seeds.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • plastic tray with lid, potting soil, cactus seeds.
  1. Step 1

First you will need a clear plastic tray with a lid on it.

  2. Step 2

Next you will need to put a 1/2 inch hole in the top.

  3. Step 3

Fill the tray about half ways with potting soil. Moisten the soil. Do not make mud.

  4. Step 4

Sprinkle the seeds onto the soil then cover with a small amount of dirt to give the new plants support when growing. Use squirt bottle to moisten the dirt.

  5. Step 5

Close the lid and set tray in a lighted area away from direct sunlight. Do not let them dry out, but do not over water either. Seeds may take up to a month to germinate so be patent. After a year you should be able to slowly move the tray into the sun and start transplanting the new cactus. Let the cactus get use to the sun by giving them a few hours a day until you can leave them in the sun all day long.

Tips & Warnings
  • Do not let the tray into direct sunlight for about a year. Direct sunlight will kill your baby cactus.
