How to Stop Facebook from Using Your Photos

So it turns out that the people at Facebook can you the photos that you post to your Facebook account without your direct permission. There is a way on Facebook, however, to change your settings so that they will not be able to use your photos in Facebook ads.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Logon to Facebook.com.

  2. Step 2

    From the top toolbar, click on the "Settings" option. This will display all of the My Account options that are available on Facebook.com.

  3. Step 3

    On the "Settings" menu, find the "Privacy" section, and click on "manage." (The word "manage" is on the right hand side of the page and is blue in color).

  4. Step 4

    Click on "News Feed and Wall." This is the third option listed on this page.

  5. Step 5

    Click on the "Facebook Ads" tab at the top of the page. There are only two tabs on this page and it is the one on the right hand side.

  6. Step 6

    Change the "Appearance in Facebook Ads" to "No one." Also, be sure to click on the "Save Changes" button or the edits will not be saved to your account.
