Using Coca Cola for cooking a Brisket

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 can coca cola
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • 1 lemon squeezed
  • 1/2 cup steak sauce
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • add your seasonings s/p/g/ect.
  • KC BBQ sauce
  • steak sauce
  1. Step 1

Place brisket in metal pan, cover brisket with aluminum foil and place in oven for 3 hours on 250 degrees. Brisket will make its own juice.

  2. Step 2

Take brisket out of the oven and pre-pair for grilling on the bbq pit.
Take foil and make the brisket fit in foil so that the juices will not drip out( you will want to baste the brisket from the top of the foil, so make it easy to open and close foil on the grill) you may need 4 or more sheets to keep it from dripping.

  3. Step 3

Add your dry seasonings to brisket and place on grill. When doing this brisket, I like to use mesquite wood or cherry wood. Once on the grill you will cook it another 4 hours or to your choice. Add the coke, 1 bottle of KC bbq sauce, seasonings, lemon, onion, ketchup, tomatoe sauce, and steak sauce together. With this liquid mix you will baste the brisket about every 40 mins.

Tips & Warnings
  • Make sure you have the brisket wrapped good or you will lose the juices.
  • Keep your fire a temp and make sure it doesn't burn your meat.
