Do you bite your nails? Stop now!

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Hand lotion
  • Nail Polish Remover
  • Perserverance
  1. Step 1

Decide to stop biting them! The first thing that you need to do is tell yourself that you are going to stop. I know this is silly, but the more determination you have, the better the results. A habit takes about a month to break. That is a long time to wait for results.

  2. Step 2

Mix about a tablespoon of nail polish remover with a cup of hand lotion. The bitterness of the lotion and nail polish remover tastes horrible. Pick a lotion that is good for your hands, such as a exfoliating lotion, something in a smell that you like, but does not remind you of food. I chose fir tree.

  3. Step 3

Rub the mixture liberally on your hands every time you want to bite your cuticles or nails. If you end up biting your them, the nasty taste will make you not want to do it again. If you want to paint your nails, you will have to paint them every night to keep them looking nice and fresh.

  4. Step 4

After your habit is broken, stop using the lotion! Change to another lotion that you love. Pick a smell that makes you feel sexy, or accomplished. Something that makes you feel great about yourself! Make it something nice, as a reward! Once you have made it this far, you totally deserve it!

Tips & Warnings
  • This totally worked for me! And I have not bitten my nails, or cuticles for about six years!
