Pigs 'n Blankets are a great easy dinner, that the kids will definitely love! If you've had these as an appetizer, or the miniature version of these, you will love this recipe. This is an easy and quick recipe that requires few ingredients!

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • One Pillsbury (or generic) tube of crescent rolls
  • One Package of Your Favorite Hot Dogs
  • 3 Slices of American Cheese
  • 8x8 Pan Non Stick Pan or Aluminum Foil and Non-Stick Spray
  1. Step 1

    PREPARE your meal. Open your crescent rolls, and lay them out on your baking pan or aluminum foil.

    ARRANGE cheese slices. Take each slice of American cheese, and rip in half. Lay each slice of cheese on crescent roll, making sure that the cheese does not hang over the crescent roll dough.

    Ball Park hot dogs plump up great in the oven.

    PLACE your hot dog on the widest part of the crescent triangle. Roll the crescent dough with the cheese slice around the hot dog. The two ends of the hot dog will show, but make sure that the cheese is secured inside.

    BAKE in the preheated oven at 425 for about 20-25 mins. until golden brown. Make sure that they do not touch in the oven, or they will be doughy. Serve with baked beans or potato salad, as a great side. Enjoy a cheap delicious meal that requires little effort.

Tips & Warnings
  • Use 98% fat free Oscar Meyers hot dogs and Fat Free Cheese for a diet friendly dinner.
  • Buy Crescent Rolls that are 25% larger, as advertised, for bigger blankets.
  • Save left over hot dogs as a quick lunch fix.
  • These usually don't keep well for the next day.
