How to Take Out Bitterness From Burn Cooked Rice

You finished cooking and suddenly you realized that your rice burned. You ask yourself, now what do I do, its late and everyone is hungry. Don't panic there is no need to throw it away and start over. I have used this technique for a few years and it always work.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • pot with burned rice
  • 3 to 5 slices of white bread
  • 1 big onion cut in half
  1. Step 1

    If rice is fully cooked turn it off. If not let it on a low setting.

  2. Step 2

    Uncover the pot of rice and place three slices of white bread over.

  3. Step 3

    Cover it and let stand for about 20 minutes. Uncover take slices of bread out and discard.

  4. Step 4

    Taste the rice, if it still has some bitterness place two more slices of white bread over it for about 10 minutes.

  5. Step 5

    Uncover by this time your rice is ready to eat and no one will notice that it burn.

  6. Step 6

    To get rid of the burned odor of rice, cut a big onion in half and place it next to the stove.
