Step 1
* Have your child help you design invitations to hand give people. You can do this using construction paper and markers. If you don't feel invitations are necessary pick up the phone and give people an invite.
-
Step 2
* Have your party in the afternoon around 1 or 2. This way you only have to serve the birthday cake. Everyone will have had lunch and the party should be over with before dinner time. Having the party to late may give people the idea that you are going to feed them.
-
Step 3
* Pick a city park with a playground. It's free and all kids love playing at the park. Another great idea is to pick a park that has a trail. You can give kids a paper and a pencil have them write down the different things they see on the trail.
-
Step 4
* Bake a cake or cupcakes at home. Use party favors to decorate the cupcakes. You can usually buy a pack of party favors for under $2.00. If you feel the need to buy a store bought cake shop around.
-
Step 5
* Plan outside games using items and toys you already have around the house, such as, a ball, Frisbee, bubbles, and art supplies.
-
Step 6
* Dollar stores are a great place to pick up items such as plates, cups, silverware, wrapping paper, balloons and more.

on 8/10/2009 WE LOVED THIS ARTICLE BECAUSE IT SHOWED PARENTS AND KIDS THAT THE FOCUSS SHOULD ON THE BIRTHDAY BOY OR GIRL; INSTEAD OF ON HOW MUCH EVERYTHING COST, AND HOW BIG EVERYTHING IS. THAT'S THE WAY WE'VE ALWAYS CELEBRATED OUR 4 DIAMONDS(SONS) BIRTHDAY PARTIES AND THEY STILL TALK ABOUT THEM. WE BLESS: YOU, YOUR FAMILY, AND THIS ARTICLE WITH 5* AND A RECO. BLESSINGS, gentletouch
