Trim edges so fabric is straight. Cut off 3 inches off one end. This will be used for the strap.

  5. Step 5

Using a saucer or plate, draw a curve right and left on the bottom of outer fabric.

  6. Step 6

Measure lining fabric to same size as patterned fabric. You can use extra lining fabric to fashion an inside pocket as follows:
    a. Cut a square 8 x 8
    b. Fold square in half right sides facing.
    c. Sew 1/4 inch seam on right and left sides. Sew 1/4 inch seam on bottom, leaving 1/2 inch opening.
    d. Turn fabric right side out and press with an iron.
    e. Sew pocket around 3 sides to one side of lining.

  7. Step 7

After attaching pocket to lining, sew 1/4 inch seam on lining with right sides facing.

  8. Step 8

Fold 3 inch strip so no raw edges show. Stitch around edge.

  9. Step 9

With right sides together, sew 1/4 inch seams on outer fabric.

  10. Step 10

Keep outer fabric with right side facing in. Pin straps to seams being careful not to twist strap. Then insert outer fabric with straps into the lining. Lining right side is facing out.

  11. Step 11

Sew around the opening, leaving an opening about 2 inches. Turn the whole thing inside out. Straps should be in position. Top stitch around the top and your done!
