A 7 card Tarot spread can give you a yes or no answer to any question, with a little bit of extra wisdom thrown in!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Tarot Deck
  • Book with card interpretations
  1. Step 1

Shuffle the cards while thinking about your question. You don't have to share the question with anyone else in the room, unless you want another opinion on your spread.

  2. Step 2

Using your non-dominant hand, cut the cards into three stacks

  3. Step 3

Restack the cards in any order you like.

  4. Step 4

Deal 7 cards from the top of the deck. The first card is flipped over and laid to your left. Each subsequent card is positioned to the last card's right..forming a line of 7 cards in front of the reader.

  5. Step 5

Count the number of cards that are right side up. If 4 or more cards are right side up, your answer is yes!

  6. Step 6

The center card represents what is happening to you now. The cards to the left of the center represent the past influences on the question. The cards to the right represent the future. The book of card interpretations can help you decipher what each card means. Or you can simple study the pictures on the cards and develop your own meaning.

  7. Step 7

How did you react to the "yes" or "no" answer? Tarot reading is best used to help you understand your inner motivations, not necessarily for predicting the future! Try to examine how you react to the images and cards, and you might find another path to understanding yourself.

Tips & Warnings
  • Keep your card deck wrapped in silk when it's not being used, that protects it from negative influences.
  • Always keep a candle lit while you are reading, it's another protection against negative influences.
  • Don't read on a Sunday, it's considered bad luck
  • Don't take your Tarot Card reading too seriously -- especially if you are a novice reader. It can take months (or longer) to develop a real understanding of the art.
  • Remember, there's always a reading tomorrow! And you can influence your fate with your free will. Tarot readings can be simple warnings and guiding influences.
