How to Remove Oil Spots From The Driveway

Ever become frustrated with your car because it leaves oil spots on your driveway? Ever have company over and their car leaves unslightly oil or grease spots on your concrete? Stop becoming frustrated and clean up the mess with these simple instructions. By following these instruction, you will be able to further maintain your concrete driveway by removing all oil and grease spots.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Brake Parts Cleaner
  • Small Towel or Paper Towels
  1. Step 1

    Start by buying a can of "brake parts cleaner" from your local automotive shop.(Autozone, O'Reilly's, Advance Auto Parts, etc.)

  2. Step 2

    Spray the oil spot with brake parts cleaner. Make sure to cover the entire spot with this cleaner.

  3. Step 3

    Immediately after spraying the spot, use a towel of some sort to scrub the spot dry. Repeat spraying and scrubbing as necessary to clean the spot.

  4. Step 4

    To insure that all particles have been cleaned off and for best results, use a hose to spray down the spot after the area has been sufficiently cleaned.

Tips & Warnings
  • For added safety wear gloves and eye protection. Although it is not absolutely necessary; a safe job is a good job.
