How to Play Internet Monopoly
In Monopoly, you roll the dice around a board buying property, houses and hotels. The object of the game is to control the board and bankrupt the other players. Most Internet Monopoly games require a download and purchasing to play the game. However, you can play multiplayer online from Pogo.com. In addition, you can play against a friend at home from PC Monopoly. Both websites are free.

Log on to Pogo.com (see Resources). Register for free or play as guest. To register, click on the "Register" link and answer the questions. This includes name, birthday and email address. Play as guest for quick access to Internet Monopoly.

Select "Board Games" on the left. Click on "Monopoly Here & Now: The World Edition." Press the "Sign Up," "Sign In" or "Play as Guest" button.

Wait until the Java game loads in a new window. Pick your Monopoly piece. Then the game initiates. Others online players may join the game or play against the computer.
PC Monopoly

Open PC Monopoly (see Resources) in your browser. The Java game will automatically start.

Insert player one and player two's names. In this version, you cannot play with other people online. However, you can play through the Internet with a friend next to you. Press the "Start the Game" button.

Use the commands on the right. Press the "Roll Dice," "Buy Property" and "Get out of Jail." Other Monopoly commands are available.
