      Plug the microphone cable into the 1/4" to 3.5mm adapter so that the Optimus microphone can be used with your computer audio input jack.

      Turn on your computer and wait for Windows to completely start up before moving forward.

      Locate the audio input jack on your computer and plug the adapter in.

      Click "Start"->"Control Panel"->"Sounds and Audio Devices", then click "Advanced."
