Weather it be a paper cut, a cat scratch, or a scraped knee, getting blood out of fabric can be tough. Follow this easy guide to help remove one of the worst stains there is from most fabrics.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Gently pour the hydrogen peroxide directly on to the blood stain. I like to use the lid to control the amount I am pouring. It should begin to bubble, continue to reapply the hydrogen peroxide until bubbling subsides or stain is removed, which ever comes first.

  2. Step 2

Wash area with mild detergent and water, if you are removing a stain from an article of clothing, launder item as usual.

  3. Step 3

Do not place item in dryer until you have eliminated the stain. The heat from the dryer will set in the stain and then it will be nearly impossible to remove. If you are removing the blood stain from furniture allow to air dry.

Tips & Warnings
  • Works best on cotton fabrics
  • Works best on fresh blood. Older set in blood may not completely remove.
  • Hydrogen peroxide has been known to lighten fabric (you may want to test an area before applying)
