Instructions

    • 1

Peel, core and thinly slice the apples so there are enough pieces to layer in the pan. Place the sliced apples off to the side while you prepare the rest of the apple French toast.

    • 2

Melt butter in a pan and mix in both the corn syrup and brown sugar. Stir constantly to avoid burning the sugar. Pour the mixture over the entire bottom of the baking dish.

    • 3

Layer the apple slices on top of the mixture on the bottom of the baking dish. Place the slices of half a loaf of French bread or Texas toast on top of the apple slices, covering the entirety of the baking dish.

    • 4

Beat the eggs until they are light and fluffy while mixing in milk and vanilla. Beat the mixture until it is a light golden color. Pour this mixture over the bread in the baking pan. Make sure to cover the bread evenly with the egg mixture. Cover the baking dish and refrigerate over night.

    • 5

Take the apple French toast mix out of the refrigerator and preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Uncover the baking dish and bake in the oven for approximately 40 minutes or until the bread is golden brown. Serve with syrup and fresh apple slices as garnish.
