Albuterol is a drug prescribed to asthma patients in order to increase air intake to their lungs. It is most often used by those on the verge of an asthma attack to reverse narrowing of the bronchi in the lungs. Albuterol is available only with a medical doctor's prescription.

    Obtaining Albuterol

  1. Step 1

    Take the prescription to a pharmacy to be filled. Ask the pharmacist when the prescription will be ready for pickup.

    Return to the pharmacy at aspecified time to pick up and pay for your prescription.

    Read the dosage information indicated on the Albuterol box. Use the drug only when indicated by the instructions provided with your medication.

    Return to the pharmacy when the prescription needs to be refilled. If you are out of refills, consult your doctor again for a renewal.
