You can remove spots from carpeting easily without using harsh detergents.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Fill clean, empty spray bottle with hydrogen peroxide.
Test your carpeting in a corner of the room to check for colorfastness. Lightly spray carpet and blot. Check color.

  2. Step 2

Lightly spray spot and wait. You will see a foaming action. Blot up residue. I put paper towel over spot and step on it. If still there, this can be repeated until you see your desired results. I have used this on blood spots, juice spots, dried pet urine dribbles. This also disinfects the spots. No rinsing is required.

  3. Step 3

I used this treatment on a water spill spot which caused that orange discoloration from the backing (jute) of the carpet. Blot up spill and allow to dry. Lightly spray spot, the orange discoloration, and lightly rub and blot the spot. You will see the orange color on the paper towel. Repeat step if necessary until orange color disappears.
