Learn the secrets of how to clean your stainless steel kitchen sink effectively from a professional home cleaner.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • soft scrub
  • kitchen lime/rust remover spray (lime a way or CLR)
  • scrub sponge
  • glass cleaner
  • several dry cotton rags
  1. Step 1

*If you have water spots it is important to use a lime/rust stain remover. If you do not have water spots you may skip this step and start with step number 2.
Spray the sink with a kitchen formulated lime/rust remover. Scrub with a scrub sponge then thoroughly rinse with warm water.

  2. Step 2

Squeeze a quarter size dollop of soft scrub in the sink base.

  3. Step 3

Slightly wet your sponge. Smear the soft scrub with the sponge and firmly scrub the bottom and sides of the sink using small circular motions. Thoroughly rinse away the soft scrub with warm water.

  4. Step 4

Generously spray the entire sink and faucet with a quality glass cleaner.

  5. Step 5

Using a clean and dry cotton rag, begin to shine the sink starting with the faucet. Rub the faucet with the rag until it is dry and shiny. Use a new dry rag if your rag begins to feel damp.

  6. Step 6

Wipe the sides of the sink with the dry rag going with the grain of the stainless steel. Continue to wipe until it is dry and shiny. Use a new rag when your rag begins to feel damp.

  7. Step 7

Finish by wiping the bottom of the sink until it is dry and shines.
