How to Cook a Baked Glazed Ham

We all just love a baked ham, well I'm here to share my secret recipe that all of my friends and family just love for the Holiday's, Easter, Thanksgiving or any time of the year. So let's get cooking and see if we can help you cook a great ham or update the recipe you already have.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • One whole or half ham
  • Brown sugar
  • Can of cranberry sauce
  • Orange juice
  • Tooth picks
  • One jar of cherries
  • Large can sliced pineapple
  • Foil
  1. Step 1

    Take ham out of package and place in the sink and wash with cool water, use a nice size pan that will give you room all around the ham but may stick out on top.

    In a deep mixing boil, add brown sugar, cranberry and orange juice. Keep at room temperature until needed. You may want to use a whisk for this step.

    Pour glaze over ham making sure you get full coverage, you may have to scoop off the bottom of pan to make sure the whole ham gets covered.

    Now lets take the pineapples and place all over ham until covered or you run out.

    Take a toothpick insert into cherry and stick inside of pineapple. It should look like this. Try and make sure the whole ham is covered.

    Bake on 350 for 3 to 4 hours depending on the size of the ham. Use foil to cover until cooked. Remove foil for the last 30 min' s of cooking so that the fruit can brown a little.

Tips & Warnings
  • I always use a half ham for this recipe.
  • Always use caution when working with your oven, making sure to use pot holders when removing the ham as well as basting.
