Whatever the occasion, Pina Colada's are a fun and enertaining way to liven the crowd! The piña colada is a sweet, rum-based cocktail made with hard rum, coconut cream, and pineapple juice, usually served either blended or shaken with ice.

The coconut cream needs to have the right consistancy, some find the alternative, coconut milk to be too thin. The key to a good Pina Colada is coconut cream.

However if there is no coconut cream available to you, an aternative is condensed milk. Mixing 1 tablespoon of condensed milk to coconut milk will have a very similar taste and texture to the coconut cream.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 3 oz hard rum
  • 3 tblsp Coconut cream
  • 3 tblsp crushed Pineapple
  • Slice of Pineapple
  • Marachino Cherry
  1. Step 1
     

    Mix coconut cream with condensed milk and place into electric blender along with Rum, crushed pineapple, and 2 cups of crushed ice.
    Blend at a high speed for a short length of time.

  2. Step 2

    Strain contents into a collins glass. Place slice of pineapple on rim of glass, and cherry inside. Serve with a straw if desired.

Tips & Warnings
  • Captain Morgan Spiced Rum is the best rum to use for this recipe.
