How to Make Mango Shakes
If you're craving a sweet treat but want to keep it as healthy as possible, consider a milkshake. In addition to the more traditional flavors of vanilla, chocolate and strawberry, you can create your own summer variety by adding a tropical fruit, like mango. The milk in a shake provides important daily vitamins and minerals, while the mango, which is good for you as well, helps to satisfy that sweet tooth. Does this Spark an idea?

Peel the mangoes and scoop out the pulp with a spoon. Place the pulp in the blender, and blend until it reaches a smooth consistency.

Add sugar to taste. Start with 2 tsp. and increase gradually, depending on how sweet you want your milkshake to be.

Pour in the milk, and blend to the desired thickness. Add less milk for a thicker shake or more milk if you prefer a smoother, creamier texture. It doesn't matter what kind of milk you use, but keep in mind that skim milk is more watery than whole milk. If you prefer to use fat-free milk but still want a thick shake, you'll need to use less skim milk.

Fill the rest of the blender with ice, and blend again. This recipe yields two or three 16-oz.. shakes, depending on their thickness.

Tips & Warnings
Try blending fruits to create a new shake flavor. Consider mango-pineapple and strawberry-mango varieties.
Add whipped topping or nuts to the top of your shake.
