How to Stop Junk Mail in Ireland
Junk mail that comes through the postal mail service in Ireland can be stopped or at least minimized. The Irish Direct Marketing Association (IDMA) helps residents of Ireland reduce or stop junk mail from coming to their homes.

Download the free form titled "Mailing Preference Service Form" from the Dublin Waste web site (see Resources). Print out the form, fill it out, and mail it to Mailing Preference Service, P.O. Box 5609, FREEPOST, Dublin 4.

Call the Irish Direct Marketing Association (IDMA) at 011 (+353) 01- 8304752 to request that junk mail be stopped. This option is good for those who are unable to print out the form or who do not have internet access.

The IDMA recommends writing to companies and requesting that your name and address be removed from mailing lists. Companies are bound by law to reply to your request and remove you from any mailing lists within 40 days of receiving your request.
