How to Watch TV on a Laptop With YouTube

YouTube lets you watch TV on your laptop!

YouTube.com is a popular website that allows you to watch videos, movies and even TV shows right on your laptop or desktop computer from virtually anywhere. While YouTube does have a limited number of TV shows listed, many popular ones, are available and the list of available TV shows continues to grow every day. Watching TV on a laptop using YouTube is an easy process.

Instructions

1. Go online using your laptop, and go to youtube.com. Click on the "Shows" link at the top of the screen on YouTube's homepage.

2. Look for the navigation bar on the left-hand side of the screen, which lists the various categories of shows that YouTube has available to watch. Select the category that interests you, then browse through the available shows that appear under that category until you find one that you would like to watch.

3. Click on the link that displays the title of the show you wish to watch. The show should automatically begin playing. Also note that YouTube will display similar shows on the side of the viewer as well.

Tips & Warnings

• If you cannot find your favorite TV show on YouTube, you may be able to watch it online from another website. See if the show is available on other popular sites like Hulu, Fancast or Veoh (see Resources), or on the website of the network that produces the show.

• The ability to watch TV on YouTube may not be available in all countries.
