How to Block Websites So That Children Can't Access Them

If you are a parent, it may be your desire to provide your children with a little bit of Internet freedom. By providing them with freedom on the Internet, they can learn from the valuable pool of information that is out there. However, because there is good information as well as harmful information, you should incorporate a plan of action to block out the harmful. By doing so, you can protect your children from viewing websites that are inappropriate or unsafe for their age.

Instructions

      Open your Internet Explorer browser.

    • 2

The filter will allow you to enter a list of websites that you want your child to be able to access. If the site is not on your list, your child will not be able to view the site. You can also allow access to all sites except ones that you have entered to be blocked. Select the "Web Content Filter" level. You can choose high, medium, low or custom.
