How to Change the Internet Explorer 7 Toolbar

Internet Explorer 7 is a browser update from the popular Internet Explorer 6. It allows you to browse the Web and find content. As with the previous versions, Internet Explorer 7 has a toolbar located at the top of the browser that runs the browser. The toolbar allows you to integrate multiple applications such as anti-virus programs and add-ons such as search bars. Changing programs and the look of icons on your toolbar is a simple process.

Instructions

Step 1

Launch your Internet Explorer 7 Web browser.
Step 2

Right-click the top of the toolbar and select the options that you want displayed on the toolbar. You can choose from Menu, Favorites and any additional add-ons you may have installed on your computer, such as a "Search" toolbar.
Step 3

Right-click the toolbar again and select "Customize." Select "Use large icons," "Show selective texts," or "Show only icons" to change the look of your toolbar. To customize, click "Add or Remove Commands."
Step 4

Select the toolbar buttons you want to add to your Internet Explorer 7 toolbar from the "Available toolbar buttons" window. When you are done selecting the toolbar buttons that you want, click "Close." They will be automatically added to the Internet Explorer 7 toolbar.
Step 5

Right-click the toolbar again and click "Lock Toolbar" to prevent accidental changes to the Internet Explorer 7 toolbar.
