How to Easily Apply Eyeliner
If you're not a professional makeup artist, chances are you've twisted your arms and poked your eyes trying to get a smooth, even line but only end up with a jerky, crooked line instead. Applying eyeliner isn't always simple but it's not rocket science either. Practice makes perfect and getting a routine down that you are comfortable with, will make doing your eye makeup a pleasure instead of a pain. Does this Spark an idea?

Grab your eyeliner in your dominant hand. Use a cotton swab to gently pull at the skin above your eye to make it a little taut.

Line the top of your eye with short strokes. The strokes do not have to be the same thickness. Use small strokes rather than long strokes, because it's easier to apply and there's more margin for error. Begin in the center of your eye for best results. If your hand isn't steady, rest your elbow on the bathroom counter.

Repeat this process for the bottom lash line. Use the cotton swab to quickly correct any mistakes before the eyeliner dries. If you are prone to drawing crooked lines, try a powdered liner that creates a softer line and has easier application.

Line the other eye using the same process.

Tips & Warnings
Liquid eyeliner is good for doing a cat eye or winged look, but it can be more difficult to apply. Use considerably shorter and smaller strokes when applying liquid liner.
