You will learn how to set up your guitar effects pedals so they make the least amount of line noise.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Most likely you want a distortion pedal, a delay maybe a wah pedal. There are so many to mention.
  1. Step 1

Hooking up a chain of effects pedals is a fairly simple process. First find the input and output jacks are on each of your effects.

  2. Step 2

Lay out your effects pedals this order.
Distortion pedal to wah pedal to EQ pedal to chorus and or flange pedal, reverb pedal to delay. You can also add a volume pedal after the the delay if wanted.

  3. Step 3

After you have your pedals laid out you want to hook them up.
Start with the line coming from your guitar to the input on your distortion. Then link all the other effects the same way output from distortion to input on wah pedal, output from wah pedal to input on EQ, output from EQ to input on chorus and or flange pedals, output from chorus - flange pedals to delay and or reverb pedals, delay or reverb output to the amplifier. (if using volume pedal . . .output from reverb to input on volume pedal and finally output from volume pedal to the amplifier.)

on 9/7/2009 Thank you for your response. I am also a Guitar and Piano Teacher at MIKE'S GUITAR WORLD in Glendora Ca.
I have been playing guitar since 1962 and performing since 1965 so if you know anyone who wants guitar lessons and wants good teachers we have them.
