How to Twist a Balloon Monkey

Here is the way I make a balloon monkey. Sometimes I like to put him on a balloon tree.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

• A quality 260 Latex Balloon (the cheapie wally world ones suck)
• Air Pump (or blow by mouth)
• Sharpie Marker

1. 

   Here is the hard part. No, not really. Inflate balloon leaving 5" tail.

2. 

   At the knot end make a 3" bubble.

3. 

   Fold the bubble and twist in the knot.

4. 

   Make two small bubbles.

5. 

   Now make five 1/2" bubbles.

6. 

   Twist the first and last 1/2" bubbles together to make a ring.

7. 

   Take the folded bubble fron step 3 and put it through the five 1/2" bubble ring.

8. 

   Pinch twist (twist onto itself)the second and fourth bubbles of the ring.

9. 

   Make a small bubble. Then two 2" bubbles.

10. 

    Twist together the two 2" bubbles, where my fingers are in the above picture.

11. 

    Twist three 2" bubbles.

12. 

    Twist together the last two 2" bubbles.

13. 

    Curl the tail by winding it around you fngers and hold for a couple seconds.

14. 

    Draw on a face. Happy little monkey. All done!

• Twisting balloons can be highly addictive! Balloon animals are cool and fun!
