Things You'll Need:
- Power Drill/Screwdriver Jigsaw 2 Sheets of Plywood 24" x 48" (regulation size) 4 2x4's - 24" long (frame) 4 2x4's - 33-45" long (frame) (Three (2x4 are only 1.5 inches thick) inches shorter th
-
Step 1
Cut wood to the length mentioned in the directions.
-
Step 2
Put the frame together. It is pretty easy how the frame goes together. Take 2 of the 24" long pieces and position them on the shorter ends of the plywood, and the longer pieces in between these, putting them along the sides.
-
Step 3
Once they are lined up and everything looks good, use screws and screw the frame together. Do not screw the plywood into the frame until the frame itself has been built and put together.
-
Step 4
After the frame is assembled, screw the plywood top onto the frame you just created. Make sure its tight against each other for a nice fit.
-
Step 5
Now measure 12" in from either side and 9" down from the top, finding your center point of the hole. After you have this point, user your compass to draw a circle that is 6" in diameter. You can drill a starting hole with a drill bit, then use a jigsaw if your familiar with one.
-
Step 6
The legs attach at the back, closest to the hole. Cut them at a slight angle if you choose. It's not necessary. Screw, or bolt, through the frame into the legs, do not go through the platform or it will not look right.
-
Step 7
After cutting the hole, sanding is a greta idea before you paint it for a nice clean, smooth finish.
-
Step 8
The bean bags should be 6" x 6" and filled with feed corn. You can buy clothe or materials at a hobby store like "Michaels" or somewhere similar.

on 7/29/2009 Awesome article, my sister makes the best bags in the world! A word of caution though... I never thought about this but one night we left our bags on the board and went inside. The next morning we found them tore to shreds by some small animal. Who knows... a chipmunk, squirrel, I don't know but they sure wanted the corn inside.
