How to make sweet and sour pork stir fry

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 lb. pork tenderloin
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 can chunked pineapple
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 medium red onion
  • 2 cups snap peas
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons corn starch
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1/3 cup apricot preserves
  1. Step 1

    First you will need to add the oil to a large skillet over medium high heat. Then you will need to cut the pork into 1 inch pieces and add to the skillet in a single layer along with the salt and 2 teaspoons of corn starch and cook for 4 to 6 minutes on each side until the meat turn brown. Then you will need to cut your onion into 1/2 inch thick wedges.

  2. Step 2

    Then add the onion to the skillet with the pork and cook for 2 minutes or until the onion begins to brown. Then reduce the heat until medium heat. Then add in the peas. You will then add the soy sauce, rice vinegar, apricot preserves and cornstarch to a small bowl and mix you will then add this into the pan with the pork. Then add the pineapple that you drained the juice off of.

  3. Step 3

    Then cook for 2 minutes or until the sauce thickens. You will need to stir constantly while the sauce is thickening. You can serve over some white rice if you choose or just eat it alone.
