Here is an easy way to jazz up and add pizazz to any recipe. Chili is a great one. It is also great in salsas. If you want a nice smoky taste in your tortilla soup and even tacos.Chipotles in adobo sauce is a condiment in which chipotles "smoked jalapeño peppers" are stewed in a sauce with tomatoes, garlic, vinegar, salt, and spices.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 18 oz can tomatoes
  • onion
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 bunch cilantro
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 12oz chipotle peppers in adobo sauce
  • 6 or 7 plastic sandwich bags
  1. Step 1

    Add 18 oz can of tomatoes to blender or food processor. Skin and chop onion and add to tomatoes mixture.

  2. Step 2

    Skin two cloves of garlic and add to mixture in blender or food processor.

  3. Step 3

    De-leaf the cilantro and add to the mixture in the blender or food processor .

  4. Step 4

    Add tablspoon of sugar to the mixture in the blender of the food processor

  5. Step 5

    Add chipotle peppers in adobo sauce to blender or food processor and combine until smooth with no lumps.

  6. Step 6

    Lable plastic bags and mixture to bags and freeze until use.

Tips & Warnings
  • Diablo sauce will store in freezer for up to a year. Happy eating
  • Chipotles in adobo sauce is a condiment in which chipotles "smoked jalapeno peppers" are stewed in a sauce with tomatoes, garlic, vinegar, salt, and spices.Please note that chipotles are super spicy because they are made from jalapenos so use a little at a time to get desired spicy flavor.
