How to Remove Small (Fiberglass) Splinters

Do you have a splinter (or bee stings) so small that you can't remove it with a pair of tweezers? Those type of splinters can be a pain and a distraction. There is a very simple solution. This works extremely well with fiberglass splinters.

Things You'll Need:

• Duct tape.

1. First you should try tweezers to get out the splinters, but if the splinter is too small, or if you have multiple splinters, then try this.

2. Take a piece of duct tape and cover the area where you have the splinters. Gently, press the duct tape to the skin. If you press too hard, you will drive the splinter deeper.

3. Pull the duct tape off slowly and it will bring the splinters with it. If it doesn't get all of the splinters in one try, then repeat. This works best on areas that don't have a lot of hair (hands and feet).

4. Make sure that you wash the area after you remove the splinters so that you don't get an infection.

Tips & Warnings

• I haven't used this myself, but one of my friends swears on Elmer's glue. He pours some of it over where he has splinters and let's it dry. Then he peels off the dried glue and it takes the splinters with it. You can try that if the duct tape doesn't work.
