A night on the town or a game with your buddies is a great way to spend your time. Sometimes though we like to enjoy an alcoholic beverage or two or ten. This can lead to a great time, but a tough morning. If wine is your drink of choice, then you are in for an even worse hangover the next morning. You don't have to suffer though. Follow these steps to avoid the pain as much as possible and feel better faster!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Drink lots of water.

Alcohol will dehydrate your body, so drink a lot of water. To avoid overindulging in wine have a glass of water for each glass of wine you desire to have.

  2. Step 2

    Eat before you drink.

Have something to eat an hour before a drink. Bread or pasta is the best choice.

  3. Step 3

    Don't do drugs!

Taking any drugs, prescription or otherwise is not a good idea if you are going to drink. The combination will only make your hangover worse.

  4. Step 4

    Drink some milk.

Drink a glass of milk prior to consuming wine. This will provide a protective coat to your stomach and helps you absorb the alcohol in the wine.

  5. Step 5

    Don't eat salt.

Salt tends to increase the dehydration process. This will increase your drunkenness that night and your hangover the next morning.

  6. Step 6

    Take some aspirin.

An aspirin will help you with a headache. Avoid taking ibuprofen or paracetamol. These medicines usually have adverse effects on the body especially after the consumption of wine.

  7. Step 7

    Avoid dark drinks.

The major hangover you experience may be due to combining red wine with whiskey. You should mix whiskey with soda or water. Avoid mixing it with cola and tonic.
