Here is the step by step of getting through a military deployment, from a military wife!

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • envelopes
  • stamps
  • mailing boxes
  • a phone
  • LOTS OF PICTURES
  • a big heart
  • determination
  • tears
  1. Step 1

The fist step is getting over the goodbye, saying goodbye to a military man is ALWAYS hard no matter how long they are gone, and wether he is in the Army, National Guard, Coast Guard, Marines, Air Force, or the Navy, saying goodbye is never easy. This is where you're tears come in, make sure you have tissues! If you can try your hardest not to cry, it just breaks down your love before he even gets where he is going. He will end up putting all the blame on himself!

  2. Step 2

Now that you're over the crying, it's time to start sending those care packages and letters! Try to write once everday, a letter from home is ALWAYS great no matter how short it is! Try to send some things he can use on his deployment. examples..beef jerky, razors, socks, pictures, cookies, you can pretty much send anything, everything you send will mean the world to him!

  3. Step 3

The next step is to keep your phone attached to you at all times, you had no idea when he'll get the chance to call and you definately don't want to miss that call because it may be weeks before you'll get another one! DON'T CRY WHILE YOU ARE ON THE PHONE WITH HIM...most of the time your military man is calling to hear you happy, and doing okay he doesn't need to be stressed out knowing he is KILLING you while he is gone, because trust me he is just as hurt as you are. The next thing is NO fighting, he's doing enough fighting for our country he just wants to be loved when he talks to you!

  4. Step 4

The final step is to keep it all together, don't let yourself fall to pieces while he is gone. Keep your head up; cry when you aren't talking with him. Find friends who understand what you are going through. Count down the days until you get to see him again, and never forget to say I LOVE YOU a million times, NEVER EVER say GOODBYE when getting off the phone with your military man, that's like saying you're never going to talk again, ALWAYS say "later" Who knows maybe by the time you're military man comes home he'll be ready to settle down with you, because of how well you did during his deployment, and maybe you'll become a military wife!
