How to make golden fries ,crunchy on the outside and soft & tasty inside.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 3-4 Idaho white potatoes
  • Peeler
  • Vegetable oil
  • Non-stick pot
  • Salt
  • Large bowl
  • Pepper
  1. Step 1

    The key to perfect french fries are the potatoes, make sure you have Idaho white potatoes.First peel your potatoes. Clean potatoes throughly with cold water.Dry potatoes off before you begin to cut the potatoes into wedges.

  2. Step 2

    Slice potatoes into wedges. Try not to slice the wedges to thinly.

  3. Step 3

    Take the potato wedges and soak them in lightly salted water for 30 minutes. After soaking the potatoes for 20 minutes put your vegetable oil in a non stick pot and start to heat it. Heat oil for ten minutes or until you can see wisps of smoke. Dry your potatoes wedges with a paper towel ,then lightly season them with salt and pepper. Cook potatoes wedges until wedges float to the top of the pot. Take wedges out and drain on paper towels, season to taste with salt and pepper. You will have perfect golden brown french fries.

Tips & Warnings
  • The longer you soak the potatoes the quicker they will cook.
