Instructions

    • 1

Prepare the mashed potatoes according to your favorite recipe.

    • 2

Spread 1 to 2 tablespoons of butter all over the inside surfaces of a crock pot with the paper towel. This will prevent the mashed potatoes from sticking to the crock pot and will add flavor to the potatoes.

    • 3

Use the wooden spoon to transfer the mashed potatoes to the prepared crock pot. Add another tablespoon or two of butter to the top of the mashed potatoes to melt down into the potatoes as they warm.

    • 4

Set the crock pot to low and place the lid on top. Monitor the potatoes to make sure they are not drying out. Stir them as necessary and add a bit more butter or milk if they appear to be drying out.

    • 5

Serve the mashed potatoes directly from the crock pot when it is time to eat.

Tips & Warnings

  • For best results, don't keep mashed potatoes warm in a crock pot for more than two hours.
