    Buying DeMarini Baseball Bats

  1. Step 1

DeMarini sells three different bats lines of bats. There are youth models for little-league players who are just learning the ropes; senior-youth bats, which are for junior-high players; and high school and college bats.

  2. Step 2

Decide how much you want to spend and where you would like to buy it. While DeMarini doesn't sell bats on their website, there are many online retailers such as Eastbay and Sports Authority that do. But going to a sporting-goods store will allow you to get a feel for each bat. Typically, a youth bat will range between $130 and $250, a senior-youth bat will cost $200 to $300 and the high school and college bats range from $129 to $400. Bats can be purchased more cheaply during baseball's offseason, before DeMarini releases the next year's models.

  3. Step 3

Figure out the size and weight you are looking for. Near the model number there will be a number such as -3 for their high school and college bats. That number represents the length-to-ounce ratio. (For example, a bat that is 33 inches long and weighs 31 oz. would be -3.)

  4. Step 4

Decide on DeMarini bat you'd like to buy. The same model is made for all different levels. The list of bats starts with the CF4, which is said to be their most technologically advanced bat with a large barrel to add power, but they also manufacture the Voodoo, Vendetta, CF3, Vexxum, the M2M and a pro maple bat for major-league players. In addition to length and weight, bats vary in thickness at the barrel and handle.
