Photoshop Elements is a consumer-oriented graphics and photo editing utility that gives you some of the abilities of Photoshop without the sticker shock. Photoshop Elements 3.0 is an older version of the program, but many people still use it.

  1. Step 1

    Carefully read the PDF manual for the program. Many people overlook the manual when they are using a program; it should be the first resource they turn to.

  2. Step 2

    Go to Amazon.com and find one of the many books published to help people learn Photoshop Elements 3.0, such as "Adobe Photoshop Elements 3.0 Classroom in a Book" or "Photoshop Elements 3 for Dummies." You also might find copies of these books at a library, used book store or thrift store.

  3. Step 3

    Visit online sites that have tutorials available for Photoshop Elements 3.0. One of the best ways to learn the ins and outs of any program is to go through a project-oriented tutorial. Also join in on the forum discussions at these sites. You will be able to post questions there, and get answers from experts in the field.
