Step 1
Find a money-making opportunity online.
1. Online auctions and classified ad sites allow you to be Salesman (or woman) of the Year and never change out of your pajamas! Sell things around the house for that “minimalist” decorator look, and when you run out of things to sell (and the cat’s looking nervous), buy stuff at garage sales or flea markets for resale.
2. Get an online job. Especially in the customer service field, online work is plentiful, can pay well, and offers the convenience of working from home. -
Step 2
Find a good-old fashioned “real life” side job offline.
1. Work overtime at a current job. If you haven't asked your boss if there is available overtime, do it today! A special project might come up, or a co-worker's vacation or sick leave might need to be covered.
2. Get a second job working for a different company. Pizza delivery guy, fast food counter clerk, and shipping company package-flinger are all excellent evening or weekend jobs that can fit around your current job's schedule.
3. Start a side business that involves little or no start up costs. Good choices are dog sitting, house or office cleaning, lawn mowing, and child care.
4. Sell something! Most people have things around the house they don't use, and one man's trash really is another man's treasure. Drag everything out to the driveway for a lucrative yard sale.
5. Make something to make money. If you are great at scrap booking, baking, woodwork, or drawing, try to think of ways you could earn money selling some of what you produce. -
Step 3
Maintain a great attitude.
Once you have decided how you will make money fast, it's time to put your best foot forward. Remember that your attitude is everything in landing that job or making that sale. Some tips for marketing yourself:
1. Relax. It's easy for any of us to feel a little desperate when we're in a financial mess, but nothing turns off prospective customers or employers more than the smell of fear. Take a deep breath before you take the plunge.
2. Smile. Friendly people are much more likely to be hired and to make sales than people who seem sad, angry, or upset.
3. Be prepared. Whether it's for a job interview or for a job you've just landed, you will really impress your boss or customers if you are ten minutes early for every shift or appointment, have all your tools and supplies organized, and dress neatly and appropriately for the job.
4. Get plenty of rest and eat right. It's stressful starting a new job or business, especially if you'll be working more than full time. Keep yourself healthy by getting to bed on time and avoiding junk foods.

on 9/18/2009 One can even start ones own auction site - like this one of mine. It does however takes some time to get it publicised.

Also it is not so sophisticated as the REAL auction sites - but give it a go (and do mention where you got the idea!)
Good luck.
