How to Make Easy Homemade Alfredo Sauce
Alfredo sauce is a rich and creamy topping for your favorite pasta. It doesn't take long to cook, but be aware that a good Alfredo sauce takes a while to work off. Using heavy cream and fresh pasta makes this a decadent choice. If you are watching your calories, use low fat, but not fat-free milk. Things You'll Need
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 1/4 cups heavy whipping cream
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup Parmesan cheese
- Pasta
- Large pot
- Salt
- Colander

Place a large pot of salted water on to boil. When the water is fully boiling, add the pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes. Drain in a colander.

Place a saute pan over medium heat. Add the butter and garlic powder together in the saucepan and stir until the butter is fully melted and starting to bubble.

Add half of the cream. Stir this together in the pan with half of the butter and garlic until well blended. Let the mixture to come to a light boil, stirring periodically.

Add the pasta. Then add the rest of the cream, cheese, and salt and pepper now. Bring to a light boil and continue stirring for about 2 minutes.

Serve immediately.
