Things You'll Need:
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/2 sour cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 3 1/2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 3 tablespoons vanilla pudding mix
- 1/4 cup butter
- 2 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- food coloring

Step 1
You will need a large bowl where you will combine the 1/2 cup of butter and 1 cup of sugar. You will need to cream these ingredients together. You will then stir in the cream cheese and the vanilla. Then you will need a small bowl where you will add the flour, baking soda, and salt and then mix these together. You will then slowly add this to the butter and sugar mixture. Once this is all mixed together you will cover and place in the refrigerator for one hour.

Then find a flat surface and sprinkle with powdered sugar then roll out the dough to an eighth of an inch thickness. Then you will cut with a cookie cutter of your choice. Then place onto a greased cookie sheet one inch apart. Then bake at 375 degrees for 8 minutes or until lightly browned. Then remove immediately to wire racks and allow to cool completely.

Then you will make the frosting. You will need a small bowl where you will combing the milk and the pudding mix. You will sit this to the side. You then will need a large bowl where you will first add the butter and cream it. Then you will add in the pudding mixture and mix. Next you will gradually add in the powdered sugar and vanilla. You will then beat on high speed until the frosting is light and fluffy. Then you can separate small amounts into plastic cups and add food coloring and then mix. You will then frost the cookies.
