Uh-oh --- pounds are creeping onto your frame --- the dreaded middle-age spread. What to do? What to do? Read on...

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1
    Baby Being Weighed

    Baby Being Weighed

Adopt a new attitude. Rejoice in your new figure...if it helps, pretend you are a baby. If you have children or know people with babies, weight gains for a baby are a good thing and something to brag about. People actually buy clothes for kids to "grow" into --- what a concept!

  2. Step 2
    Three Buttons

    Three Buttons

Smile! Take comfort in the fact that you are alive and growing...even if its the wrong way (out instead of up, darn it!), and there is more of you to love!

  3. Step 3
    Strawberry Milkshake

Banish thin people from your inner circle of friends...particularly anyone who says things like "I can't gain weight and I drink milkshakes all day long..." Others to leave behind include anyone who tells you that they were able to wear their skinny jeans home from the hospital after giving birth.

  4. Step 4
    Rubens - Judgement of Paris

Hang around with others who are in the same boat...and pray for full-figured women to take over the fashion business! We can only hope!

Tips & Warnings
  • Obviously, just kidding! This is a serious problem and absolutely no fun (I know) but humor helps!
  • Have your thyroid checked - a complete thyroid panel - to check for underactive thyroid.
  • If you're with others in the same boat, you can motivate each other to stay on diets, eat healthier foods, and exercise...so you'll be in good shape even if you're not at your thinnest!
