How to Make a Matcha Green Tea Smoothie

Matcha green tea is a powdered tea that is renowned for its antioxidant punch, mood-enhancing properties and chlorophyll content, which helps cleanse the body. This filling smoothie can be drunk as a snack or in conjunction with fruit for a complete breakfast.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Blender
  • 1 cup of milk (whole, low-fat, skim or soy can be used)
  • 1 cup of ice cubes
  • 1/4 cup of cold water
  • 1 tbsp. of honey
  • 1 tbsp. matcha green tea powder

  1. Step 1

    Put one cup of milk in a blender.

  2. Step 2

    Add one cup of ice cubes.

  3. Step 3

    Pour in 1/4 cup of cold water.

  4. Step 4

    Add one tbsp. of honey.

  5. Step 5

    Add one tbsp. of matcha green tea powder.

  6. Step 6

    Blend the ingredients at high speed for one minute or until well blended.

  7. Step 7

    Serve in a tall glass that can accommodate all of the drink.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you prefer thicker smoothies, omit the water. Conversely, if you like them thinner, add an additional 1/4 cup water. Add another tablespoon of honey if the smoothie is too bitter.
