Stained concrete has gained popularity in the recent years due to the beauty of colors available, relatively low cost and ability to withstand a foot traffic. The color penetrates only 1/32 inch into the concrete, so it does require protection and maintenance to keep it looking its best. The first step is to apply the proper sealer or wax as recommended by the manufacturer. For day-to-day maintenance, just follow a few simple steps.

Use a wet mop, scrub brush and mild cleaner as needed.

  3. Step 3

Apply a new coat of wax about once per year, or when you notice the shine is fading.

  5. Step 1

Rinse with a hose, sweep or use a blower to keep the surface clean.
